We'll explain costs clearly from the very first conversation, so you know what to expect. In many cases, live-in care can be a comparable alternative to residential care while providing more personalised, one-to-one support.
What is the difference between an introductory service and a care agency?
My Life My Care is an introductory service, which means we introduce families to carefully reviewed self-employed carers. Families choose who provides their care and agree arrangements directly with the carer. This approach offers greater choice, flexibility and the opportunity to build a lasting, personal relationship.
Does the carer live in the home full-time?
Yes. A live-in carer lives in your loved one's home, providing day-to-day support and reassurance while allowing them to remain in familiar surroundings. Every carer needs their own bedroom and appropriate daily breaks. If more intensive support is required, we'll talk you through the most suitable care arrangements.
What happens if the match doesn't feel right?
Finding the right person is an important part of our introductory process, which is why we take time to understand your loved one's needs, personality and routines before making an introduction. If the arrangement isn't quite right, we'll work closely with you to explore a more suitable introduction
