What you need to register
To join MyLife MyCare as a self-employed carer, you must meet key legal and professional requirements to ensure the safety and quality of care we offer our clients.
- DBS on the update service
- Public liability insurance
- Self-employed status
- Two UK references
- Valid ID and right to work in the UK
- Training certificates including: manual handling, basic life support and CPR, and medication administration

What we're looking for?
You genuinely care about people. If you’re someone who finds joy in making a difference and you’re passionate about supporting others, you’re in the right place. You’ve got experience supporting older people. Whether you’ve worked in care homes, as a live-in carer, or provided support in the community – your experience matters.
You have (or are happy to get) an Enhanced DBS check. This helps reassure families that their loved one is in safe, trusted hands – and we can guide you through the process if needed.
You’re professional, reliable and kind-hearted. Families are looking for someone they can count on – not just to show up, but to show they care.
You’re self-employed – or open to becoming self-employed. We support independent carers, so if you’re not already registered, we can point you in the right direction to get started.
